Founded in 1899 by British chemist George Stephenson, Stephenson’s Pharmacy has stood in the heart of Downtown Cairo as a living testament to craftsmanship, care, and old-world apothecary tradition. For decades, its back lab was alive with hand-compounded remedies, wooden cabinets, glass bottles, and meticulous formulations that served generations of families. Today, under the stewardship of the Samman family, this heritage remains preserved.

Today, as the world evolves, so do we. That is why we are proud to introduce our newest cosmetic line: Syra. From its meaning, “life story or lived journey” and its homage to the Samman family’s Syrian roots, each product is shaped by the same spirit that once guided our pharmacy: care, community, and well-being.
